The familiar "Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, on a sesame-seed bun" jingle for McDonald's Big Mac is a fairly well known jingle in the ad landscape. Rather than attempting to create a new one, McDonald's is letting brand enthusiasts have a hand in a modern variation of the sandwich jingle.
Using Myspace, this campaign is an effort to reach out to a younger audience in a more contemporary manner. The brand is letting the audience create their own jingle variations and sharing them to be voted on till the end of the month. So far, the contest has attracted nearly 1,000 songs.
