Surprise!

Streamers

GJP did a wonderful street spot for a party supply store.
However, I really wonder what the depth of the strategy was for this idea. Wouldn't the streamers be wilted and eventually become torn after two or more events of the subway passing by? Was a street crew traveling about the city rolling up streamers for maximum effect next time the subway came through?

The idea is great, no doubt about it, I think the reality of it could and possibly did prove to be less wonderful. Even the photo states that timing of pedestrians with passing train cars was difficult to achieve.
